A redbull and a small water incase you can't get to the bar. Some chocolate or something can be quite handy too.
    Apart from that..
    a small torch,
    towel and change of shirt,
    A pen and paper
cd's incase your laptop setup fails!
mp3 player with emergency mix in case the decks fail!

but in all seriousness... an external hard drive with a system image on it and a shit load of tracks, spare cables (seriously prepare for the worst because it's that one time you didn't bring it that you'll need it), small torch, spare earphones or head phones, if you have one a back up laptop, a computer mouse incase of some serious trouble shooting (I don't like track pads all that much), a condom (you're the DJ who wouldn't shag you), an iPod with pre recorded mixes, cd's with pre recorded mixes on them, a huge black guy to protect your gear, lollies, mobile phone with credit and the number for the nearest music store, a pen and paper (incase you need to get someone's details incase of insurance or some big titted german backpackers room number), a power board and most importantly a good attitude.

what, everyone can beatmatch without sync, it's so easy, that's why it's legit to use sync because everyone is so busy being "creative" (fooling around in booth, give number to hot girl, take shots with the pals, texting the bartender for a new drink) and doing other time consuming things so they don't wanna spend the 2 seconds which it will take dj c00l to manually beatmatch every track, but he could easily match every track in his tracklist in 2 seconds, allways.
