always thought it was funny how pioneer can add a few little features here and there, then charge you an arm and leg for them. also look into denons if you dont plan on taking the 900s out of your house, the will be slightly different but totally worth it for the price imo.

If your buying new, I'd just get the DJM-900 instead of the DJM-800.

Here, 800=1850$ and 900=1999, so just as well get the 900 if its like this in your area.

The sound quality of the s4 compared to the djm-900 is not comparable in my experience with both.

If your not getting the djm-900 I would get a smaller cdj because the only advantage of the 900/2000 over an older model is the quantize ability when used with the 900. No 900, no quantize. CDJ-800 work good as long as cue buttons are toasted, and if they are get a really good deal and you can replace them pretty easyily

wow never knew that the DJM-800 was that expensive new nowadays! (i have one & the only feature i love was the color effect & the cue mix feature, which i believe existed in most of the intermediate mixers nowadays)
i'm probably been missing the djing gear whoring pretty much since last year (currently being a hardware synth freak..)
