Too much mids, harsh highs and underpowered lows.
Wow, thats quite the contrary to what I hear from literally everyone else! Have you run them for a long time at live events? Do you run single ear or both for monitoring?

My wife gave it to me around a year ago, I wait a couple of months to "break in". I use it in my house, in the plane. In those places not that bad but awful in the club because it is different the sound than the real one , so they betrayed you when doing eq, I tried single ear, headphone monitoring was the worst because the color of the sound. Nowadays are collecting dust, even when I bought an apogee duet 2 I gave them a chance but the results were worst. The look awesome but they sound meh. Maybe a lot of people likes that coloration, but I do not like (subjective) and they give you another eq than the original ones on the tracks (objective). Great packaging also.

Gear that I used trying or doing gigs with the tma's:
Xone 4d, xone 62, pio 800, audio 4 dj, audio 8 dj, apogee duet 2, iPod , harman kardon and marantz home amp, Midas Venice, mackie 1640 and yamaha 96 live consoles and in all that equipment they do not come close to hdj2000, Sony 7506 or senheiser 25.
Stay away from the hype it is my recomendation.
And with nexo PA , ev, and bw speakers at home

I tried the TMA's for a few gigs a few weeks back and to be honest i think they are overrated, i am disappointed by this because i really wanted to pick a pair up.

I don't think they are as comfortable as their competition (HD25s), don't think they are as well built.. They look much better though. But i also don't think the sound is brilliant, it is very coloured and different from what the song actually should sound like..

    I still recommend the HD25's.

But who every buys the TMA's i still think its a good choice over headphones such as the HDJ1000's.

I've got a pair simply because I got given some cash for my birthday and I was in the Apple store and because you can't spend cash online and i'm too lazy to go to the bank and put it in I got them because a) they sounded better than my mates Pio HDJ1000's and b) they didn't look awful like the Sennheiser HD 25 Adidas edition!

I'd still like to try out some headphones with a bigger pad around the ear because i've got pretty big ears and they can be a little uncomfortable at times.

Hmm i've never tried them just they weren't aesthetically pleasing, I don't like the idea of a sponsored pair of headphones.

I understand where you are coming from, but i own them (i couldn't get a hold of normal ones and i quite like Adidas Original stuff) and they look quite good in the flesh and sound brilliant.

If my TMA's go down and i'm on the look out for another pair i'd definitely try a pair out but i'd scrower high and low for the original ones!
