    audio technica ath m-50s. I use them to produce and DJ and they`re amazing. If you check around the web, many other producers and studios use them as monitors. Plus they`re cheap.

    ya ive been told the sony mdrv6's are used for monitors as well! lol (:

    They may not be THE perfect headphone for everyone but they are industry standard for production.

    I would also suggest getting the Beyerdymanic velour covers for them, ppl swear by them for even more comfort.
