They are used by lots of high profile DJs and 'legends' and probably cus they get them sent free and are sponsored by Beats.

Its been said many times by DJs that they are not suitable for DJing. Ive used them and they are like being sat on by an elephant and they blow your head off.

If you want good true sound reproduction you will not buy them.

If you want to look like 'someone' then buy them and put up with the over the top sound.

EDIT: didnt see that last 5 or 6 posts when i posted cus i was watching a movie. I get the p*ss taking now, but the point still remains true.
Fpmsl ya Meff... As if id spend the best part of 400 quid on something im gonna stand on the lead of, and rip em clean off my head, wincing as they smash on the floor, or at best tear the wires out the drivers... i cry when it happens to cheap phones..
id be SUICIDAL with 400 spot worth!

Im not joking about ripping them off your head and tearing the cables out - it happens more then you would imagine, especially using vinyl and your rooting on the floor through your box for records.

At £400 a pop even if they were fit for purpose, i'd be wounded

Also, don't overlook the Shures 440/840. A more balanced headphone than the HDJ soundwise, and indestructible to boot. I like to think of them as a full size equivalent of the HD25's.

Yet another soul saved from the evils of marketing, well done gentlemen.
