Switching to Iphone after years of Blackberry

I loved the BB keyboards too but was very interested in the full on touch of the 9850/9860. It was definitely a great phone "while it lasted". I did not miss having a real keyboard at all.

Now that I'm on iPhone, however, I 100% regret not coming to apple sooner. The applications are just mind blowingly useful. I don't play games or look into stupid pointless apps out there. The apps on Blackberry were complete FAIL and there just weren't that many USEFUL apps to even choose from. Instead, it seems like the BB app store is full of useless games, etc.

From my bank account app to ebay mobile to pandora, I'm already blown away by what the iPhone is capable of and how it actually makes life easier, and how stable it is. Blackberry I felt was more of a PHONE and as soon as you try using heavy apps or uploads a couple GB's of photos/music, the phone became unstable. I put in my old 32gb microSD which was probably half full and the brand new phone started glitching.

There's a reason why Apple is doing so well in the mobile market. If blackberry's newest line of phones (bold 99XX included!!) can't even be trusted, how much longer does RIM expect their customers to stay faithful?

I've been a long time BB user and have always avoided switching to Apple. The time finally came though and I don't think I'll ever look back, even if RIM comes out with QNX etc. The apps are a plus on the iPhone but the real value comes in its STABILITY.

Mine doesn't. Appointment at the Apple Genius Bar tomorrow to find out why my 3GS will not pick up wifi.

F*cking O2 (my carrier) wont replace it as its hardware and is not covered under insurance. The woman at O2 basically told me to drop it and get it replaced on the insurance.

I was less than happy.

I got my iPhone 4 and had it 8 days. Then it bricked.
The same day replacement clause is for 7 days only.

Imagine how pissed I was! Sent it in....took a month before they told me it was poked and they would give me a brand new one.

Haven't had a single issue since.

Had it a year now...its fucking awesome is what it is.

There's some quirks though. I think you have to update podcast manually and smart playlists is a feature of iTunes so that won't work without it.

Your one of the lucky ones then, maybe you have it in bubblewrap 99% of the time. All i no is that the next iphone will have a case that covers the edge of the glass screen next time around. massive design error!!!

I have a CapDase cover for my iPhone 4.

I have dropped it a few times and this cover has saved it everytime.

If it fell on a sharp object flat on the glass, yes...it would break i recon.

If you pay this amount of money for a device (phone in this case)....i would treat it like I treat my laptop....external drive....etc. With CARE!

If you going to treat it like any other phone....it will fuck out...like all other phones.

Its a BEAST.....protect it.

I have had my iPhone for a year, never used a case, no protective film or anything..No scratches, no cracks.

Well, some scratches, on the camera lens. Guess that would be the best reason to have a case.

THIS. Exact reason why I switched too. Brand new 9650 was requiring battery pulls, I just couldn't believe it.

iPhone is a mini computer! Treat it with care! I got the Otterbox defender over mine. Love the case.
