Just found this myself and wondered if there was already a thread! Here's a youtube link in case anyone can't be arsed with proxies.

And agreed, why does Tong look so bored?!

Maybe he's wondering why he is not being interviewed about the gear he uses.

That was a terrible interview. What a wasted opportunity.

I thought it was pretty good, i got the feeling that it was... Oldschool vs. New school... but they seemed to both put thier 2c in.

I felt James didn't really say anything and Tong didn't seem prepared at all.

It was supposed to be a Masterclass but they were talking about the fact that the CDJ2000's can use SD cards...yeh, no shit. Seemed like an Introduction to DJ'ing rather than a Masterclass. Nothing in the interview that hasn't been stated a hundred times before.

    Still, glad you liked it!

To someone just starting in mixing it would be a treasure trove of info... but to us... well yea i would have loved to see half of it James explaining his routine almost step by step and half of him doing it

    Totally.

They had a camera pointed at the mixer, I was hoping for him to mix and for us to be able to see exactly how he's using the faders, etc. You can see glimpses of stuff like that on dancetrippin but it's always dark, etc. Oh well
