I am used to 3 EQ's but I can only imagine that 4 gives more control to tweeking the mid-range.

Correct me if I am wrong Xone 92 owners, but isn't the Xone 4D a stand-alone 92 mixer as well? [EDIT: minus the 4th band EQ... sorry]

Sorry to contradict many of the A&H fanboys out here but I think many people here are wrong about quality.

I heard lot of feedback on 92 "second version", that is built in China, whereas the previous grey version was built in UK (like the DB2 and DB4).
They are way less solid than before, and IMHO, way less "long lasting" than Pioneer's mixer.

In the other hand, yeah they have a way better sound, way better filters etc, but I mean, don't be blindfolded because you love the brand. Nowadays, some A&H products are built in China, and you can feel the difference.

(If you can find a used grey version, go for it !!)

    PS : i'm not a pioneer fanboy.

it may suprises you, but nowadays almost EVERYTHING IS BUILT IN CHINA, your iphone, your computer, your printer, your webserver, your switch, the cables, ect. (and IMHO i think that when somebody on this planet know's how to assemble electronics then the chinese do ^^)

besides your undefined "feeling", can you say more concrete things about your OPINION ?

Xone 92 owner here, and guarantee you will not be disappointed with the purchase of one. You may need to adjust to the 4-band EQ, and the fader curve. However, once you adjust you'll love it!

    ...Go for it!

Omg you are pushing fanboyness to it's limit you know that ?

I've been looking around for months for a good 4 channel mixers, and what I heard about the building quality was from sellers (that are DJing), people doing reviews on specialized websites etc.

On your question "how long did the 92 last blablabla", I don't own one myself, so I can't answer that, and I don't take notes about every discussion I have. Just look for reviews on the internet, you should find some disapointed customers.
I'm just trying to give people out here another point of view, based on what I heard from 92 users.

About that China stuff, Pioneer's controls on building quality and process are more frequent than A&H, still according to professionals, who own a very serious gear/vinyl store. And the guy is a pro A&H, but he admitted that.

After all, you look really pissed that some guy said something bad about your favorite brand. Sorry about that. IMHO you really lack objectivity, and you only see what you want to see. I would almost bet you have "Allen&Heath" tatooed on your stomach.
I'm not a pioneer fanboy nor an A&H fanboy. I add my $0.02 to the discussion with some different experiences. I don't think that's a reason to be agressive against me.

A&H fanboys are even more zealous than Mac fanboys...

Speaking of fan boys - ANYONE who suggests any Pioneer mixer ahead of an A&H is clueless.

Pioneer mixer sound terrible, have no headroom, and do no favors for DVS DJs who are often already playing harsh source material.

A&H on the other hand, are built better, have tons of headroom and sound a MILLION times better than any Pioneer.

Pioneer is not even in the same ballpark.

LOL - This is exactly the sort of reply I expect from an A&H fanboy. I ain't no pioneer fanboy just cause I have a pioneer mixer.

The DJM 600 was not the best but not the worst, but to say the DJM800 sounds "terrible" is ridiculous. It's a 96kHz / 24 bit digital mixer so it's like a soundcard

Also they fixed the headroom on the DJM800, there's loads more than the DJM600 which didn't have much i agree.

And the build is decent, nice rubberised knobs, solid metal top.

Don't get me wrong i can feel the quality build in A&H mixers as well as Rane mixers is nice but I wouldn't say it's a "different league". IT's the same league and they're both vying for the championship.

I do like A&H92s they are a nice analogue mixer, used em loads when I play out on funktion one etc and also used DJM800 on a funktion one. Personally i can't really notice any difference at that volume. The only mixer i thought i could hear a differnce on on a funktion one was this:

    http://www.decks.co.uk/products/formulasound/FF6000

I think the DJM900 is supposed to sound even better better than the 800 and is extremely feature rich. I think the CDJ2ks with a DJM900 is the best set up one can have at the moment.

But they're just mixers so calm down.

What 92 do you use ? "Old grey one" ? Because we are debating on the hypothesis of a new buy, and in that case, recently made-in-china-without-giving-a-fuck-about-quality-control 92 are just not solid at all, compared to the grey ones.

On the other hand, DJM series (except the 2k) can last 10 years easy.
