    But it does mean you can choose the music... The main thing I hate about the student clubs is that while they do often play some good tunes, you have to wade through hours of top 40 RnB durge first. It's like having multiple rooms in a club except Exeter is too small for that haha.

    I understand the appeal, but tbh I'd prefer to actually be able to feel the bass. Why have a huge sound system if you're not going to use it?

    Thats really not the point of a silent disco though.
    Its always (usually) 2 DJ's competing for the crowd OR just one DJ at a festival making everyone sing with a HUGE queue to get into the big tent.

    People in UK love them.

    The only time I have ever encountered these before has been at festivals where their license restrictions meant they had to turn the music off at a certain time in the night/morning. By using these some of the smaller bars/stages were able to keep the party going. For me that was the perfect use of this technology and a really great idea.
