    I'm loving the 20% Restocking fee ($709.80) for a return and the rule that he alone determines if the cable is good enough to be returned.

    i didn't argue for the cable. obv, it's snake oil. i was just being pedantic

    but in a sense, it is important to realize that the signal is an analog one. cause if you transmit digital information via an analog signal, there is the potential for problems during reconstruction of the 0's and 1's you were talking about.

    in the context of transmitting digital audio over USB, the problem i'm thinking of is jitter. USB audio interfaces now employ a technique called asynchronous USB. but jitter was a real problem for USB audio interfaces not long ago (say, until 3-4 years ago).
