At first, "well…it's MF. We have to price match." Then he looked it up in the computer and was like "yeah…I'm gonna check MF's website" and that was the end of that.

When the DB4 first came out it was 1999 GBP (sorry I don't know how to do the pound sign on my yankeeboard) and there was some website that listed it at $1999 so I took it to Guitar Center in Vegas and they checked out the website and totally said they would match it (this is a year before they were selling for 2100). I wasn't ready to buy it but afterward I kicked myself for months for not letting him sell it to me then as the MSRP in USD was closer to 2999. Pretty sure though that even that sale would have been stopped somehow; he didn't have them in store so it wasn't like I could walk out with one.

You jerks got my hopes up for a second until I read the rest of the thread. I was looking to pick one up. I even posted about it in the Ableton section! Man, fuck.
