LOL every video I have seen he is only using one CDJ. And he never switches to the other deck. He just messes with effects on the mixer, and that's about it. I think he went to the CDJ's simply for the stability.

I dunno why so many people feel like they should defend the dude. He has some great tracks, but it's not like he's underground and needs people to stand up for him.

To be honest most of the big time producers I've seen live lately don't mix live. They throw in a few effects here and there, but they are playing a pre made set in ableton. Skrillex for a while wasn't even changing his set up from town to town. I guess many of these producers are more into selling and spicing up the "experience" vs amazing you with live mixes. Kinda why I'm very careful as to who I pay to see live these days.

I enjoy the creativity of producers who still mix live, they just surprise you and crowd.

Props to Skream & Benga for keeping it real. Seen them last night in Chicago, and they blew the roof off. Kinda shocked me to see that they were opening for Feed Me.

It's funny to me how religious some people are when they're hating on someone. Somebody posts a picture of Skrillex using CDJs, now you can't make fun of him for using a Mac anymore. Oh wait, he must just be using one of them. Now you can go back to hatin, congrats bro.

He was on CDJ's when I saw him at future a couple weeks ago as well. Was a fucking great show.

O and if were talking about DJ's who don't do anything I saw something interesting while swedish house mafia were playing. It was only on the big screen for a second so I can't be 100% sure but I believe that one of the CDJ's was paused and the other three weren't doing anything.... while the music was playing...
Oh well, it was still a great show and I would see them again.

Why would I have a problem with him using a computer????

I'm just saying I have yet to ever see any footage of him mixing live. Prove me wrong I will happily stfu. I can post videos of him with doing 0 mixing what so ever, that is fact.

I'm not a skrillex hater, I bought some of music, play some of music, and have even seen him live. I just don't see what the hype is over his live performances. He's essentially pressing play on his pre-built set and not improvising much at all.

cdjs or not his mixing is still pretty fucking dodgy. I'll admit his track selection is solid and he can work a crowd, but he still has a long way to go before I even consider watching one of his sets. other than that his music is ok. a bit too cheesy, but im not really into dubstep step so w/e.

ohh and by the way that mother ship is amazing

also anyone else notice that maybe a year or 2 ago Rusko was the guy getting all this hate, but now the hate is all on skrill
