I bought the 2 ghz Macbook, and i got it for 860 from comet. They were doing a deal, spend over 700 and get 70 off. spend a grand and get 100 off.

its been a couple of days now with constant scracthing and nothing has crashed yet. Since i got the vci in November (last year), the PC would usually crash when i was juggling with hands like lightening

So i am successfully converted, and hopefully i can keep it from falling off anything.

    Take the plunge

    Cheers Michael

    nice deal!

well... be aware that even if it's a mac it will crash sometimes... as the articles always state - have a backup ready, then you should be fine!

the falling thing - well, i dropped my macbook (plastic white one) about a year and a half ago from 1.5m on hard tiles - the only thing that happened was that the lid didn't close perfectly anymore... that's all that happened
maybe i was lucky, but the thing worked like a charm even after dropping...

so be confident and have a backup ready - that's all you need with your mac!

    cheers

A friend of mine was getting himself ready to play with his band. He had his brand new macbook pro loaded up and running some VSTs. It was sitting on a piece of wood that was secured to a keyboard stand.

The bass vibrations were so bad that it launched the laptop off the stand, and it bounced on the stage, then on to the floor and split in two.

He cried. A 6'7", giant of a man was crying. It was the weirdest thing I'd ever seen. But he got it fixed and all was well
    It's the FAQ. Read it.
