What's 'balsy'? I don't understand. I thought you didn't want to use slang.

    See the point?

Not to mention that you said "specially on a message board with people from all different countries/backgrounds" but then turn around and call my choice of phrasing 'dumb' because you perceive it as being 'hip' which I will assume you correlate with hip-hop (could be wrong but it seems likely). Be that as it may, I pasted a snippet from the article as well as the link. The meat of the thread is there, not in the title of the thread.

Seems to me like you're setting a double-standard. Be honest, had I used Goth speak, would this have even been an issue? You seem to be the only person that didn't understand the supposed slang.

Me dislikes when a thread gets hijacked over politics.

Hm... goth speak? I mean, I've spent the last 5 years in goth clubs and I can say we don't really have a language.

We like to complain a lot, though. A smoke cloves. And drink red drinks with ominous names like Bloodbaths.

But I guess we can get really stereotypical and the title of the thread could have been

"Hear ye, hear ye all. A senior musical performer of the spoken word, one Mr. Jay Z, has decided to announce to all that the newest export from the company known as Activision is truly the wondrous and deserves your utmost respect and admiration."

or something. I dunno, can I make that sound any more pretentious? That was a first draft.

oh seriously? I'm just asking, "please in the future make titles clear" Yes I complain/change people's titles more than any other mod. Why? clicking EVERY thread to see if it's relevant to what you're wanting to read about gets exhausting. The standard is ONLY with titles. please just make TITLES clear.

I'm not going to get into ANY of your other points, because they're really not valid and i don't feel like taking up the rest of the boards time. I tried to say it in a humorous way, but I'll be more direct in the future.

Ha ha!! But with a title that long, you might need to smoke another clove just to catch up.

Yeah, that's what I am finding out (the part about there not really being a goth language, so to speak). See, I actually went and dug up some info that I wasn't sure about. Found this -->

Did you know that there was a Gothwalk that is basically a two-step? Heh, cool!

Guess, my title didn't score enough "Goth Points" (going by another definition on the same page).

has little or nothing to do with what culture i associate with. And certainly not a jab at any other culture (except for youngins perhaps, heh) I added a joke in to add humour to a post. again. just asking to keep titles clear.

Not showing tolerance for another's choice of words because of a subjective perception that everyone would not understand is indeed not humorous so yes, please be more direct in the future. BTW, you could have just PM'ed me but you chose to raise the point within the thread thereby 'taking up the rest of the boards time".

Now, I'm all for getting back to the main point. Who else thinks that endorsements from Jay-Z and Eminem will have DJ Hero flying off the shelves? Especially since there may be some unreleased/hidden tracks included?

    REEEEMIIIIIX!!!!

    Thanks.

more hands on info on DJ Hero from a pre-e3 event here: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/988/988130p1.html

also check out their other prevent interview video here with a good shot of the controller and gameplay footage...:http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/143/14319214/vids_1.html

seeing the footage... i feel weary about these dj games (scratch:ultimate DJ included)... seems like actually DJing on my 'real' equipment seems more 'fun'... i guess i'll have to wait and see...

the part that gets me, is there isnt any actual mixing. No EQing, no faders, all the songs are same level and same tempo. I dont see how this is DJing.
