So essentially let's say you press Cue on deck A, everyone will hear what's coming out of deck A on the speakers? Then deck B has the cue button off, that's what you hear in your headphones

cue is for headphones, crossfade completely to B, and cue A in your headphones.

The cue button has no effect on what everyone else hears. All it does is it lets you hear in your headphones whatever is playing on the deck you hit cue on. There's no real point of hitting the cue button for a deck that is already playing over the speakers. The cue function is to give you the ability to listen and prepare the next song you're going to play without everyone else hearing the prep.

While you're toying around figuring this stuff out, be sure to keep the headphones on one ear only. That way you can clearly hear the differences.

yikes, that would be hearing it twice, or maybe hearing it at full vol? our ears perceive sounds that are louder as being better. turn down your cue mix volume!!
