I think I'm gonna just have to go with putting the maschine into the laptop holder and carry my laptop separately in it's laptop bag. I'll just have to work something out when I fly. Thanks for the input so far guys. If anyone knows of any other bags please let me know. I want to have a few options to compare in size and price
I'm rocking a Magma Gig Bag 25 (http://magma-bags.com/produkte/multi...gig-bag-e.php3), and I think it would be big enough to fit all your gear... Well, I say that, it's HUGE.
I was able to fit my S4, laptop, X1, Maschine, headphones and still had PLENTY of room left over. If you can find one nearby, I'd recommend giving it a go.
Picked mine up for a bit under $110 Australian Dollars.
I checked this bag out before but didn't think it would be big enough. It sounds perfect if you could fit all that in there. Did you fit all this into the main compartment? I took a look at it and I could fit my external and soundcard into both of the side pockets and my small miscellaneous items such as USBs, flashlight etc into the smaller front zip pocket. If you got all your stuff into the main compartment and still had plenty of space left over then I should prob fit a MF3D in there too. Is the bag compact enough to take as hand luggage on a plane?
I just googled it and found some nice pics of it opened up with gear in it and it looks just about big enough to hold everything
Yeah, the dividers in the main compartment are all velcro/adjustable too, so you should be able to re-adjust it to fit all your gear. The side pockets are big enough to fit external cards, and you could probably fit your MF3D in the front compartment if you wanted too. It's got a slightly less dense version of the main compartments padding, but is still fairly robust.
I have no idea if you are going to be able to take it in overhead. It's a VERY big bag, and I have no idea what the dimensions for hand luggage is (I haven't flown in years). I'd see if you can find one to take a look at to judge.
personally I have the mono bag for my s2 and its quite a tight fit. I have my S2, 17" macbook pro, x1, cables, CD wallet, power strip, headphones, etc. It fits but you will have to do some jamming to get it all in. Def no machine.
