Besides if we're just going to throw them a bone because they're kids, then shouldn't we be doing that for all kids? In addition to that, what happens when they grow up and they still suck? Wouldn't they be shocked when they turn 18 and all of a sudden their adoring fans have turned on them for doing virtually the same thing they've been doing for years? Isn't the fact that they're kids how they managed to get so far in the first place? Well I think they've gone far enough...What's next, DJ of the year? Top paid DJ's in the world? Eventually even the ultra-liberal people saying "they're just kids" will digress and become naysayers too.

If I saw them in their basement, twiddling knobs furiously on tracks that weren't playing, and touching platters of CDJ's that weren't even spinning, I'd say "you kids are awesome"...But this isn't in someone's basement. They're sharing the spotlight with some of the top DJ's worldwide. It's inevitable that something had to be said.
    Do you have kids?

Im still holding out on that. Then again, they seem to be better than the average DJTT user

EDIT: These guys remind me of SHM, one guy is screwing with things, one guy isn't doing anything, and another guy is going around trying to fix the mess the other two made.

    I do.

...And I'll teach her the same thing I had to learn on my own but didn't realize until my adult life...

While it's imperative to believe you can achieve anything if you ever want to accomplish your goals, there comes a time when you have to admit that you need work, and in the words of Socrates "I know that I know nothing, and in knowing nothing I now know one thing.

...And then there's the harsh reality that maybe you're just not cut out to do what you thought you were able to.

Shooting for the stars involves too facets, believing you can actually achieve what you want, but also knowing what your limitations are and understanding how to overcome them. You can't ever identify your limitations or learn to overcome them if everyone is telling you how awesome you are, and by not listening to the criticism.

I met Dan Tait today, the presenter doing all the gain adjusting. He made the very good point that although it was excruciating to watch at times for those of us who know what's going on, for every one person wincing there are probably several young kids and teenagers thinking 'I'd like to be able to do that one day', and that's a good thing.

A very admirable way of looking at it, imo.
