    Yes, that would make everything better.

    What do you mean by "balance"? I complain a lot about Maschine's mixer from a studio perspective, but from a live perspective, it's easily good enough.

    What do you mean "Maschine's mixer"? In a live situation or otherwise, I route Maschine's groups to individual channels. I use hardware mixers or an APCs for this, except when space is a real concern, and I just run Maschine inside of Live and switch my Maschine controllers back and forth from instances to the Ableton mapping (primarily to use the eight encoders to pull the volume faders up and down). I like to fade pads and patterns in and out, and if I have hardware faders, cut them the way I could if they were on records.

    I mean Maschine's mixer. Every sound and group already has a level control for it inside the Maschine software. They also have pan controls.

    It just doens't have a "mixer view" or anything resembling level meters, which makes it more convoluted to use.

    my maschine came in yest!...Beautiful piece of equipment. I'm working on a vinyl dj mapping for it and will post when completed. It has quite a few differences in the layout from the mk1... you can map the remix decks to it btw, but i'm not sure I want to do so. I'm working on browser and fx settings now then will get into the fun stuff
    --> (2) Technics 1200 mk2, (1) Technics 1200 m3d, (1) Technics 1200 mk5, Pioneer DJM-S9, Rokit 5 Monitors, BX8 Monitor, TSP2, SDJ, DJP4M (DjProForMac), 2015 Macbook Pro (Quad Core i7 2.5ghz, 16GB RAM, 2GB AMD-R9, 1GB SSD) <--

    Don't get confused, though. Only the top row is mapable, and you can't shift your grid. I have seen workarounds for Maschine to use the remix decks, but nothing is even close to being as optimal as the F1.

    I didn't buy the maschine for use with traktor only...I wanted to start making beats and thought it would be a good addition to my setup for basic features, i.e. fx control, cue points, loops, etc...nothing fancy

    still playing around with the mapping,...i'm sure shiftee will figure something out for us turntablist on the mk2

    You sure you have it set up how you want in the controller editor?

    Hold the Phone!!!!

    Remix decks on Maschine? Can someone verify/clarify this for me (ie. 1.8 and up, only the 4 slots, or the entire thing)

    Also, check out Beaubryte's mapping in the "Maps" section it's got nothing but good reviews, and he seems to be very prompt and current with regards to trouble shooting and updates. I think his mapping or like I previously said using maschine as a live input seems to be the best way.
