I've used them on a few gigs and daily use in the bedroom. They work well and pretty durable.

Ah, excellent, I'm not the only one! I do think the HD25's superb but whenever I've road tested a pair, I find them uncomfortable after an hour or so. RP-DJ-1200's for me too, my pair are 17 years old and never failed me, okay the cups are worn and there is the odd bit of tape holding bits together but as cans they are still sharp so I don't have a reason to buy another.

I prefer over ear so still use hdj-1000, all black ones look a bit more modern. I'll replace them with hdj-1500

this one. I got TMA-1s and they are the best headphones ive worn. Senns if you want replaceable parts though. EVERYTHING is replaceable.

hd-280's, bought a pair 7 years ago with my first mixer and cdj's. still going strong. such great isolation. been tossedi n som many backpacks and gear bags and have only had to replace the 1/4" connector on them. love the fact that even though i have my earlobes stretched out to around 1" plug that they still fit over my ears and plugs. they've been gigged pretty hard and absolutely no complaints. they will be replaced wit hteh HD 380's soon though!

I tried and tested the HD25 II's and the beats. The HD25's absolutely p*ssed on them. Ive worked with a fair few pairs of headphones in my time including Technics, Pioneer and Sony and they are simply a cut above all of those. I cant comment on the HD280 though.

I did have the headband snap on a pair of TMA-1's. AIAIAI replaced them for free of course, but they CAN break.

As long as the mixer has a cue/master fade for the headphone signal, I actually prefer mixing that way.
