Not really a good analogy. Songs are heard from all different kinds of speakers and settings, while your mix at a club is only heard at the club. A better sounding pair of headphones isn't going to change the way my club mixing sounds, and it prob isnt going to change yours for that matter. I pretty much have to do all my EQ'n without headphones anyways, so really it's just about beatmatching and some basic level adjustments.

I know it's kinda weird but that's my personal problem with headphones, whatever xD Do the HD-25 or the V-Moda's fit? I know already that TMA don't but they're amazing anyway hahaha
I've been in a similar predicaments your, as in I had so much choice, a decent budget, and was baffled by everything that was out there.

I finally settled on a pair of HDJ2000's, after trying the HD-25s and a couple of other models too.

I was incredibly impressed by the two aforementioned models, they both have a good, flat response, the HD25s possibly a little flatter and the sound quality is very impressive.

My choice was influenced by the sound of the Pioneers which I really preferred as well the fact that they felt sturdier; I'm not the most elegant person in the world, and these feel like they will stand up to my usage of them better than the sennheisers (these are user serviceable, but I don't wanna be buying parts every other day)! I also like the Pioneers are over ear, and just felt more comfortable to wear. Been using them a couple of days now. Absolutely no complaints, and happy with my choice
