    He was talking about new turntables though. I was suggesting that new T62's would be a similar price to used 1210's, and that the used 1210's are unlikely to depreciate in value, where new T62's certainly would.

    Unless you are getting a bargain like Panda did, where you get second hand TT's so cheap that you can make money on them when you sell them, the all round safest / cheapest option (overall) are the Technics, as you should get back what you pay on the other end, therefore making them essentially free.
    Technics 1210 mk2's, Pioneer CDJ 500, Allen & Heath DB4, NI F1's (x2), Reloop Contour Controller Edition, Sennheiser HD25 1-II or Allen & Heath XD2-53's depending on my mood...

    They might ultimately be a better investment, but I'd still say there's a big enough gap in the pricing to consider the T.62s over the 1200/1210s.
