bit_thief...last sunday I was invited to guest dj @ a club here in L.A. The slot they gave me was 9-10 and at 1st I was kinda pissed off but I said F-it. By the time the PA guy showed up & setup it was already 10, so they ask if I would do 10-11. I did it, played some 80s High Energy and Electro and rocked the place. The owner really like my set that he got me 2 rounds of drinks and ask if I was interested in doing regular sets when no promoters are doing events there. So you never know whats going to happened.

yeah that my thoughts were too when it was mentioned.

Slowed DnB on the other hand is quite interesting. Its like the chopped and screwed version of DnB :P

    (chop and screw definition: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chopped_and_screwed)

Lots of DnB music has some really wicked drum programming, and when you slow that down, you can really hear all the intricate patterns.

definitely, Nicky. If you're into that kind of stuff you should check out acts like Winterkalte (there's an umlaut over the a but I don't know the code for the symbol), and a lot of stuff on Scolex records, Hands records, Ant-Zen records and Hive records.
    It's the FAQ. Read it.
