Although he doesn't usually rip off RECENT tracks in the same genre. Personally, I don't mind covers of older, non-EDM stuff.
If they were acknowledged covers, or remixes, i wouldn't have a problem with it.
What i have a problem with is the utter decay guetta has witnessed after "love don't let me go" was released.
Same track after same track after same track.

Also, recent tracks: talk about not releasing stuff because it's basically copypasted:

Now i don't know if the second one is really a guetta original (was unable to find info), but it is frickin' ghosts n stuff. Same organ, SAME drumline, just the chord progression is different.

There's not much time between 50 degrees's and One's release dates though, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt there and assume that it's a coincidence. Or the same person ghostwrote both songs. :P

True, even tho one was previewed in february 2010, while 50degrees was released sometime around june, that leaves a good 4 months of headroom to produce it.

To be honest a track like 50degrees is not extremely hard to produce. Load nexus samples, load vengeance kick snare and percussion, add some white noise, some drum fills, and you're good to go.

One on the other hand is, in my opinion, a god-tier production, just like greyhound. Much thought went into it, sound design was perfect, it's just a perfect track to me.

    That...and his beard....
Where was he faking it? Please dont use the Grammys as an excuse. Anyone who performs on the grammies is "faking" it.. its a giant production and the timing is critical.. Been stated many times. But hey whatever. He has no idea what hes doing anyways right?

I think he means by "faking" the fact that Guetta is always trying to "sell" his music, his brand as he said it. Usually, producers let their music speak for themselves. Guetta, on the other hand, goes to fashion/celeb event with his wife - promoting himself (even in the days of "The world is mine").
He just looks so fake I guess.

    Phony.

I'd love salinger to resuscitate and write a modern "catcher in the rye"

And to read holden's commentaries on today's hipster djs in NY would be quite fun tbh :P
