Yeah the original cables are the best, I paid about £35 for mine from a local shop as I only use 1 headphone and just got used to using them the other way when the first side went, bit silly really when I was doing around 12 gigs per month, then the second side went so I needed some the next day

Great headphones but the poorest quality cable ever. Gone through 2 so far. No idea why they just don't release a higher grade quality cable for them as I would happily pay for it.

Only get it if your head isn't the biggest. I'm getting a headache within 5 minutes if I put these on. So it's Pioneer HDJ-2000 for me now.

If the 2000 ever gets done, I might start looking at the V-Moda.

I find the 25s and the 2000s quite similar in terms of accepting big heads, but maybe i don't have as big as a head as you..

You could pay one of those guys that do retrofits (even detachable) but I reckon the prices would suck.

I bought a HD600 replacement cable for my HD25's, much stronger and a little longer, but you lose the 1/8th" option.
