I think that a combined Kontrol S4 + Z2 (4?) concept makes the most sense.
Controllers like the newer Pioneer ones are starting to operate fully standalone. NI would be smart to take note of it. A "Z4 with transport controls and jogwheels" would make a heck of a lot of sense to me. Kind of an updated Xone:4D geared towards Traktor.
they heard about CDJ Zero so they cut their price to keep marked share.
DJ setup 1 - Pioneer XDJ-Aero, Pioneer DDJ-SP1, Mixvibes Cross, Macbook Air 13", Pioneer HDJ 2000. DJ setup 2 - NI Kontrol F1, Z1, X1mkII, Traktor Pro2, Macbook Air 13", Pioneer HDJ 2000 w. Ok they will come out with a new S4 something that has some kind of F1 intergration + the Freeze/slicer think from the TraktorDJ and it will only work with this new Kontroller Freeze4

I reckon ipad integration RGB and Probably remix decks will be the big new improvements in the next iteration.
I also reckon we could see individual "decks" to compliment the Z1/F1/X1
