All the cdj-2000 and 900 are is just a glorified cdj-1000/800. They are nice players, but c'mon, who wants to spend that kind of cash these days? Also, am i the only one still disappointed the 900 doesn't have hot cues? (i know it's a 1000/2000 more $$$ feature but it's not like it costs them any more money to implement.)

Why ?? If people don't have these at home they are as much use as the standard cdj1000/800's (a cd player) all that added functionality is pointless. The people that use laptops will still bring laptops and a controller. The people against digital djing will just use cd or vinyl still on technics or an existing cdj.

Clubs with money to burn will upgrade but i bet the extra funtionality will only be used by rich kids and then even if these rich kids have them at home not all clubs will have this setup so it becomes pointless yet again.

I really cant see this taking off at all. There is no convenience at all basically. Its still far more convenient and safe to just bring cds or your own digital setup ie laptop and controller.

If there was some sort of standard for the storage of cue points, loops and all that then they would be MUCH more useful.

Pioneer is actually in a position to be pushing this sort of standard but i doubt its going to happen >=(

This isn't innovation. Not surprising, but still disappointing.

But the opinions thus far are pretty much my own.

Pioneer...you guys need to make an amazing midi controller, you guys are definately capable of making one, but seriously for way cheaper I can get 3units with encoded rotaries and motorized faders with motorized platters, did i mention for the cost of just one cdj2000?!
Silly DJ loops are for kids!

+1 this is just giving users what they have been crying out to pioneer to give them for a very long long time and even then they are still falling a little short of what truely is going to be the next gen of gear.

Thats an unfair comparison really, remember these things have computers/soundcards built into the unit.
