Playin on a controller is totally different then turntables brother. I can mix track for track all day.. But I prefer to do that on turntables.
Totally with you there. I have to laugh too. I love sync . I use it shamelessly

I've been syncing audio things since the late 80s ... even still have my original SMPTE to MTC convertor box in working order (Syncing Atari rig to tape). Sync'ed my way all through the nineties, the naughties and right up to now. Syncing 4 decks and Maschine these days. Why on earth would you want to spend your whole night syncing manually in 2013? You're going to make it sound tighter are you? Pigs arse you are.

God knows the number of times I've heard 'cool' DJs doing 'nearly sync'ed' mixes while constantly running meters into the red all night long (and not a sync button in sight).

Im not a booth spotter, but what i ve realised here in Rhodes Greece, is that in most clubs and bars there is a laptop involved which is on and the dj looks at the screen now and again. so if there is a laptop, it makes little difference wether it is controlled with a controller/cdjs or mixer.

See this is why I love the techtools community! All sorts of great info and vibe! I'm deff going to be picking up a controller!

Lol!! Now which one ya think?

The vci-100se was a beast and have that shit hanging on the wall. So was thinking the 400 would be just as good. I love the ean golden mappings with the jog Eco freeze! But am curious about the S4... Disappointed with the MK II though.

Just wish i could get my hands on both of them fir 8 hours! What do you guys think?

I love my vci but at the moment am considering a controller that is completely native like the s4. Mind you the ean golden edition of the vci is native to traktor aswell.

Comparing my vci400 to my buddies s4, they are pretty much identical in use, I feel his might be abit more durable tho. 400 has plastic buttons for the main beatpad part where the s4 is squishy and nice. 400 also has a bigger filter knob which can be kind of handy. Other then that tho haven't found any differences.

i just came home from a gig at a local club. setup this night was a djm 850, vci100se, mf spectra, cdj 900 nexus. somehow nobody was complaining
also i met a booker there who is in charge of some bigger clubs in my town. he said, that he was blown away by my performance and that he´ll wants me to play at his clubs
you see. no hate on controllers

I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.

Vci 100se - by far one of the best controllers of its day. Well built, tsi files perfectly integrated with traktor and simplicity of use. Love that controller! Nice set up brother.

forget about the stuff and forget about other djs , this is not important .
You should be worried more about the music we play here in Europe .
I moved to Spain 12 years before and for me was like to go back to school , you know : another kind of people , another way to feel the music , all was different (and not so easy)

People don't care so much about what you use - Never forget : you play for the people , not for the silly djs -

me too , it's better if you don't ask .

BTW : good luck and welcome to Europe .
