So you had a normal encounter with normal people?
    Something like that.

Even normal people (under 25) can't help but be curious though when you've got a light up arcade button box that makes random sound effects sitting on your desk. In my experience.
reppin those deep underground European vibes out in the northern midwest

    Techno, Deep House, Electronica, Ambient.

When my friends come over I pray that they don't want to touch any of my equipment. I don't trust people. It's like having a friend that doesn't know how to drive manual, and he wants to practice with your manual car... That's how I feel about it lol

WTF do they think new releases are?

I even offered to load up a buddies thumb drive of hiphop so we could try mixing some of that, but some people just aren't interested in mixing I guess haha.

I totally feel you though man, for the most part I assume anyone who comes over wants to play with the buttons and knobs, and for the most part i'm right but with a few exceptions. :P
thankyou, i knew somebody else was seeing this same stuff

Who knows what runs through peoples heads.. I have a friend who uses Virtual DJ on a PC with no controllers who lamented their lack of being able to control their software with something.. So once when they were hanging out at my house I asked her if she would like to mess about on my setup which is Traktor Pro and a Z2.. She declined.. Giving the reason as she likes her software just fine and doesn't want to learn on something that isn't virtual DJ.. Which boggles my mind as she is limiting herself and the only way to learn something is to learn it in every aspect.. Not only that.. I gave her a Nocturn and now I suspect she expects me to handhold her through installing the drivers and creating all the assignments.. Ahh, hell no.. Not if you are going to refuse an opportunity to use an actual mixer for an afternoon..

hehe, I think a bit of that might have been going on in my example.. Which is hilarious since I beatgrid everything by hand obsessively and have load markers on everything I grid.. With my computer pretty much anybody could look somewhat proficient..

It's also absurd because if you know like two tricks beatmatching is stupid simple.. I've literally seen people do it with only the pitch fader inside of 5 seconds.
