Thanks for the tip. Kind of silly promo imo though. You can barely guess what this unit is capable of, it's all speculation. My first thoughts after the Xone 43 last year was that there will be a Xone 93. That won't be the case, as A&H is already part of Playdifferently. The unit apparently seems to be something very special. If there is nothing groundbreaking, it would be a huge disappointment. Interesting that they are using oldschool studiomixer faders. I guess we will get more infos soon, as the Musikmesse is about to begin. I like that there will then be 5 Hi-end mixers available. Xone 92, DB4, DJM-900 NXS2, MP2015 and Playdifferently.
All very silly - I'm not exactly sure how it's gonna be 'different'. I'm guessing it's basically an updated Xone 92 under a different guise. And definitely expensive.
I actually think the high end mixer market is quite poor. The 92 is old, the db4 in paper is great but reality to is its been a disaster to make it work. That leaves the 900 nxs2 which is actually ok and the 2015. And both are expensive.
What's the matter with it being old? It's unique with a 4-band eq, the send/return allows delay pedals and the filters are probably still the best you can get, even though I am not a big fan of the reverse depending on hp or lp filter. The DB4 is for experts and there is no mixer that has got such a huge range of well sounding studio effects.
im also in the "i doubt its 'that' different" camp. sorry but mixers with "lots of ins and outs" have been around since forever. this thing better slice bread while simultaneously bringing weather updates, convert vinyl to midi, AND have the best sound EVER, or its pure hyperbole.
No EQs.

Thanks for that. The aux send/returns seem to be Xone 92 like. What is that sculpt, cut/ boost function? Also weird to have the lp filter on top and the hp on the bottom. I also can't make sense of the two cue buttons. That mixer does seem to be different and that is exciting :-)
Not at all strange to have the LPF at the top since low pass allows the lows and cuts the highs, so it's acting incredibly similarly to the High EQ. Equivalent with the High Pass - it's good for cutting the lows.
And the sculpt is just fancy words for a sweepable EQ where you set the frequency at which the EQ operates. You get this on regular sound desks. This allows for nice control of what you cut or boost.
So in essence the EQ section has been replaced with controls that are sweepable.
They are just trying to build hype around something that most likely wont be very different, just very expensive, and probably quite lack luster.
