I would go with a Pioneer SB, gets you familiar with serato and the pioneer configuration, which is great and used at the professional level.

Behringer BCD 2000 and 3000 was my first controller and I still love it! Easy to map, very cheap device, unbreakable and reliable. I think, best for starting DJ's. Get it used.
