I feel a bit misunderstood again. I completely agree with you. You don't lose this subconscious memory over time (how often, for example, do I recognize a sample that I might not have heard in years - can take me a while to figure out what tune I'm thinking of but the memory is there), but that was not a point I wanted to make, but rather this: At least for me, this kind of memory works so that I remember that something happens at the end of the current or the next phrase. I don't think "cool, when I start the new track now, in a about a minute the breakdown of the old one and the intro of the new one will end simultaneously"
And again, I think this is a good thing as it makes for more dynamic and thus interesting sets.
