That's my sense of this method, probably only really worth the effort and expense for a particularly prized but filthy record. I have some in the latter category but not many that I care enough about to bother with all this lol.

I really have no idea how you used a whole bottle on one record. I used about 3 tablespoons or so. Spread it out with a piece of straight plastic...I will report back tomorrow...

Be careful. The spots where the glue was thin on the grooves was a pain to remove.

There was a light residue left behind, but it was easily rinsed off before rinsing the record. This was tested on a sub focus dubplate thats gone past it's play count by a lot and it sounds pretty damned good after the wood glue treatment.

So I did this next one on the turntable. About half a third of an 8 oz. bottle.

    8 fluid ounces = 16 tablespoons = 2 Tablespoons per ounce

    half a third of 8 ounces = 1.33 ounces

    1.33 ounces = 2.66 Tablespoons

I think I did that right...

Lol. I havent a clue, but yeah doing it how it was in the video definitely made it spread better and it was too thick this time.

On the plus side, I have two dubplates that I can now play again. :-)

Yeah the glue is great for filthy records. Never bother with only a little bit of dirt.
Glad you have some good records again now.
