    Default New User, old Punk

Hi My name is Mitch and I felt obliged to introduce myself. I'm an old time Punk Rock guitar player and play around with a lot of current gear. I felt that since I bought an Kontrol S8 that I would try to hang around here and learn something.

    Cheers!
    Mitch

    1. Whats your Dj Name/Real Name (optional) - Not decided as yet so Scott for now.

    2. Where you are from (City/Country) - United Kingdom (Just Outside London)

    3. Style of music you enjoy playing. - Mainly Deep House/EDM/Trance

I have been mixing in and around the bedroom/garage for the past 3 years or so and I have only recently taken the next steps towards achieving my goal and this was in November where I decided to undertake 15 hours of intensive DJ lessons to enhance my knowledge even further beyond what I already know.

November 2014, I purchased a Traktor Kontrol MK2 and ever since I have been producing mixes on Soundcloud/Mixcloud. They are by no means the finished article but I would like to think I have been getting better with every mix.

Not too sure if it is a realistic/unrealistic goal to have for 2015 but I would like to have played in a club by mid year.

What I have found hardest so far is the promotion side of things in terms of widening my audience/listeners and in order to achieve my goal of getting that gig whenever that may be, this is crucial.

I'd appreciate any feedback from anyone who has been there, and would always be interested in any opportunities to gain more experience.
