Since i saw the videos of the new Kontrol X1 i was considering buying one. Since i had one i can't tell otherwise then that i'm in love with the MK2! Such a powerfull unit. This and a mixer (with a build in or separate Soundcard) is all i need (perhaps a couple of X1MK2's).

Ok, so in order to use the X1 the same as 4 cdj's I need at least the Audio 8? (as it has 4 outputs?)

One thing I don't understand is when mapping the encoder knobs there doesn't seem to be away to make it increase and decrease with the same knob by turning it in different directions, whereas you could with the S4. It seems you can only either increase or decrease no matter which way it is turned.

I had it on Button instead of Encoder. Therefore relative mode was not an option

    Thank you

Change the type of controller to encoder then and set interaction to relative.
