okay of course I was kidding about the urotsukidouji stuff but a bunch of tech/sci-fi anime OVAs with decent visuals will do nicely (ghost in the shell series, gundam or something like that).

if you want visuals, I have an edirol "motion dive tokyo" VJ system I could bring along, but it's a toy compared to something like arkaos, resolume or modul8 (especially in capable hands). also, besides not having a serious video clip library I'm not really up for VJing that night and the old laptop I usually run motion dive on is pretty much busted.

I'll think about other options. aren't there any newcomer VJs in berlin that would be happy to perform at tresor for free if they get plenty of drinks?

oh, oh, here *jumpin´on chair and raisin´arms

nah, just kiddin´ As Hedge hinted i will use the videowall for my set. So my Laptops video out will be connected at the beginning of the evening.

Here´s what i could do. Its possible to basically put my webcam on the video out through VDJ, this way we could put the performing Dj on the big screen. I could also let Visuals play, like Sonique, or Shadow Dancers or some other stuff. I do know some places where we could get some pretty cool visuals.

Its also totally possible to play videoclips like Ghost in a Shell and so on.
I can mix two videos ( 1 on each deck) silently, so that only the video part is playing out.We can put the flyer, logos or some other pictures on the wall through VDJ too.

This basically means alltogether: The Dj gets filmed and is seen on the videowall, shadow dancers and sonique visuals are faded over the DJ and the DJ´s Name or Logo is hovering all over the video, twisting and turning. everything with bpm aware video effects.

But tbh, i dont think that i can do this VJ stuff all evening long, so i would like to offer this service to a Act where i feel like its worth it, for example the 4 person performance by Restricted Sessions, if they would like to.

I dont know how the other acts this evening will use the videowall, its possible that the headliners have a dedicated VJ or LJ. If not i am sure we can decide on a way that provides video output on the wall the whole event.

good thing I'm bringing my big-ass live setup and playing at +4bar where there's no video wall or cam *sigh* seems to be my fate

    Cool chips Mesk!

We usually use Resolume Ave during our Restricted Sessions. Though we're not the greatest, it's sometimes fun to do during our sets.

    Your welcome mate, no problemo.

I´m offering this in case you dont want a black screen behind you. If any of your crew is savy with resolume you might want to do the visuals yourself cause Resolume is superior to VDJ. Thats up to y´all.

Same offer goes out to all the other djs on the globus floor

A photographer friend of mine is going to be in Berlin for Love Parade, and i told him about this event. He was really excited when i mentioned it. And was wondering if he could take some pictures in exchange for entry and maybe a few drinks. He has an amazing SLR camera, i can't remember what kind, and a BA in graphic design. He's touring Europe for the summer before coming back and getting his masters degree. I'm still regretting not being able to make it out for this, but it would be nice to see some nice pictures. He also has some video gear, but since he's backpacking and wants to keep luggage to a minimum, he's pretty much just bringing his SLR w/some gear, and his "Flip" video camera. If you could let me know sometime soon, i would really appreciate it, because he's leaving on Tuesday and after that i'll only be able to get ahold of him online.

That's just like 320 miles? I'll commonly drive farther than that for work in a single day.
