Thx! Too bad i have a huge problem with motivation, so I don't use the gear at all as much as I would like... Still feels good to be surrounded by knobs, buttons and faders though

    It's the Pioneer DJM-300
Correct! Quite nice mixer to start with, but the plan is to upgrade to a AH Xone:42 or maybe a Behringer Nox 606 if it gets good reviews, 'cause I'm feeling a bit limited with the 2 channels...

Why would you only buy a DDM4000 or even a DJM800 when you could buy a DJM900. More over priced Pioneer crap that i would still buy after using it today.

Been spinning on CDJ-1000mk3's and a DJM-800 (which belong to the misses). Recently purchased an Audio 4 sound card, Kontrol X1 and Traktor which won't be used anymore as I picked up my S4 on Saturday morning.

I have been very impressed with the quality of the S4.

Next on the list are some KRK RP8G2's.
Some new upgrades... nothing too high tech. Next on the list are some speaker stands and a DJM 900

I think the price isn't that bad compared to a new 800. But second hand 800's can be found very cheap as you said. The 900 i was looking at yesterday costs £1599. Expensive but not as expensive as i originally thought.

Upgraded to external mixer, bought a roadcase to suit, had to modify the cable cover at the back to accomodate the extra length of the xones - still need to paint the cut sections. VERY happy with how it all turned out.

Also that is a dual XY pad I made out of two korg nanopads, This gives me good control over two advanced FX units.

that's exactly what i've been thinking of changing to. do you route decks c/d or sample decks through the 2 channels on the mixer as well?

    loving it
It's not the gear. It's how you use it.
limitations are the source of creativity.
If you don't practice you don't want it.
