It is made by locals mate.

DJane Sway (co owner of Beartrap Productions) does a lot of em herself.

We are the only crew here that own our own TurboSound rig, staging, lighting etc.

We only hire the venue, genie and DJ's etc.

There are about 8 Psytrance party organizers. So there is basically a party of this size every weekend.

The best is the sprinkler system built into the netting that covers the top of the dancefloor. It gets SERIOUSLY hot here, so this fine mist\spray is the best thing ever.

Yes, there are MANY MANY MANY attractive girls. You have no idea. All in lil bikini tops ...prancing around.

Its a good place to be!

Jointly released by Psybliminal Records and Ritual Records, Higher Definition is the debut album by Glitch (Dash Hawkins), a full-on psytrance producer from Cape Town, South Africa. Bursting onto the scene in early 2008, Glitch’s signature blend of twilight-style full-on and high-tech darkpsy influences rapidly won him praise and the opportunity to play alongside some of Cape Town’s finest. Now, having developed his hard-hitting style, Glitch is ready to share his hard, rolling bass lines, driving rhythms, razor-sharp robotic leads, and spacious atmospheres with the world. All tracks written, produced, and mastered by Dash Hawkins at Ritual Records Studios.

    Downloaded.

Put together my first psy-trance mix last week, and loved it. Haven't listned to anything like that in years.

Probably the only psy album in my vinyl collection is Prana - Geomantik, which was bought for the album title track as it was my favourite on Northern Exposure 2 (Cost a fortune, and I had only ever seen it pop up for sale that once). Have a couple Man with no Name remixes knocking about too, but that was really the extent of my psy-trance knowledge.

Definitely gonna get more into this stuff though. Between this and tech / minimal, they are currently my favourite genres just now.

Would LOVE to come to one of these parties though. I now have the only reason I would wish to go to Africa (I work in Oil, so going to Africa for me usually means some pretty grim places).
Technics 1210 mk2's, Pioneer CDJ 500, Allen & Heath DB4, NI F1's (x2), Reloop Contour Controller Edition, Sennheiser HD25 1-II or Allen & Heath XD2-53's depending on my mood...

Those artists were pretty much still Goa Trance. I would not call them Psytrance really.

Psytrance started with guys like GMS, Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Asterix etc.

The defining album for me (of the cross over) was Distance to Goa 8.
It had Wizzy Noise and those characters on there.....

    GOOD SHIT!
