Got my DB4 back from repair this week and all is well again. I'm still a bit disappointed that there was a problem at all, but the service was pretty good. I was a bit scared after seeing so many multi month horror stories on gear servicing, but I guess they care a little bit more when it's a $3000 mixer instead of a $100 controller.

Glad to see the rotary idea coming to fruition. It always seemed like such a simple addition but I didn't really expect it to happen.

Anyone have similar issues? How did you get it to work?
    thanks
Did it stop working after an upgrade or is it a new computer?

I upgraded to lion and no issues.

Good to hear. Yeah I'm really happy they did it so quickly, I definitely was not expecting it to for some reason based on experience with how some other companies handle dealing with users pleading for software improvements.... *cough NI*

Well the dialogue says that it did and prompts for a restart. The DB4 application installed as well and actually opens. The DB4 for some reason isn't recognized by the system, traktor nor the DB4 app.
I'll have more time today to troubleshoot as at first I thought maybe the Mac was finicky with USB cables--tried a couple of extras but no dice. I should note that after the initial install my circuit box tripped because when i connected the USB cable the DB4 was going through a 110v converter and the Air was plugged into a 220v wall unit. Nothing was burned as the Air's USB ports are fine with other gear and the DB4 still works on my PC. Maybe there is a grounding issue even though the DB4 is now in another 220v wall jack? I still think this is driver related though.

    cheers

    EDIT:
Just so we're clear when installing the driver the Xone should NOT be plugged in via USB right? I know the PC instructions were pretty specific but the Mac installation did not state.

    EDIT:

Unfuckingbelievable! I had my USB cable plugged into the damned X-Link (RJ45) port.

Nothing to see here. carry on. Seriously talk about PEBCAK. I'm so embarrassed after pulling my hair out for 4 hours last night.
