Keep in mind they had 14-bit MIDI controllers and much more advanced HID stuff before NI had it hooked to Traktor, and NI still doesn't have adequate 14-bit support... though there really aren't any controllers that do either.

However, Traktor has a more user friendly system, that while it can cause more problems, and you have to worry about compatibility a bit more, it can be used by more people for more things (in my opinion).
Man i never tought consider things like that, it's a really nice comparision. Thinking like that would make us change to Serato on a near future right? Aren't you all using Mac instead of Windows right know?

Default Like Ean said, "many industry peeps read this"

"What I really want to see in terms of standardisation that will help us is an industry standard audio interface, pay some licensing to serato, and create a club level 4 stereo channel interface that can be permanently plugged into the club mixer. The key to its design would be allowing two laptops to plug into it at any one time, and each channel would have a selector knob to set which laptop it is running. This would allow seamless change over between serato/traktor/VDJ etc and is totally possible today (cept maybefor the getting Serato onboard part)"
