did she really went out of the ipads straight into the mixer via jack or did i miss something...what is she doing with the soundcard laying around on the desk?

I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.
Ugh makes me cringe. As a female dj and producer, It hurts to watch. Kind of like watching Michael Scott from the office.
I'm not hating on people for being new and wanting to enjoy production and mixing, but it just makes her look really bad. Embarrassing.
Easy on the woman hating jokes fellas, there are some other ladies that frequent these forums. Aw screw it, she kinda deserved it.
The only reason as far as I can tell, that she is using an external sound card and laptop is to route the master out from the mixer into the soundcards input and play out via monitoring using the laptops internal speakers!
That is also why it sounds so god awful!
Seriously girl, get a clue.

Sorry, i was not trying to rip women DJs, like I said there are plenty that are awesome... it was more or less a dig at that chick... she is just totally clueless, and like i said, she is making women DJs look bad in my opinion. As men we like to see women who can dj, and unfortunately we seem to clump all women DJs into one big catagory, like we have very narrow blinders on.. she just make so many groups look bad...
yeah, this amazed me.. like seriously, she had no other speakers in the house... nothing? what was the point of that, maybe she wanted to destroy the speakers on he MBP... With all that loot she is dropping into the other gear she should invest in a cheap pair of speakers atleast, even one powered JBL EON or something.
Its not that shes a woman.
Its not that shes a noob.
Its that she talks like a fucking school teacher as though her viewers are idiots.
Its also that she talks like shes the only person thats ever DJd before..!
That looks way to gimmicky and trying too hard for my taste.
Erase. Stop. Start.
The girl in the Gizmodo video is a marketing person. What’s more, she is co-founder of a company that promotes iPhone apps. Finally, there really isn’t much of a mention of her as a DJ until the iPad came out. And her blog – which is FULL of all kinds of content , was published on the 21st.
Smells like viral marketing to me kids.

Also, this story came out today, yet Google already has her covered on the first page.

Google NEVER picks up stuff that fast, especially when the info appears on sites that spiders don’t hit every day. Look at some of those sites. Hardly places that would get cached daily.
I'm not against viral marketing at all. I think this was pretty clever. But it also explains why she seems to only have a passing knowledge of DJing.

I vote JesC as first iPad DJ, since he was playing out with it on the 6th. DJTT represent!
