i dunno if i'd call this a "huge" win or anything, it was obviously a hard decision for him to make, which means the two are comparatively close. sure, traktor FX are the ish, but when choosing dj software there are more important things to worry about.

still cool though, definitely gonna whip this one out next time a serato fanboy comes up on his high horse. maybe shirts? "QBERT SAYS SERATO SUX"

you know what... it's pretty rated qbert did that cause at the end of the day if it does 1 thing, it's just to knock some wind out the serato fanboy's sails...

It's like they now know they're being divs...

People on that serato forum chatting about it wasn't a fair test and shit... madness. Like it's not qberts job to know...

" different 'tools' for different situations " i think thats pretty cool. And very befitting of DJTTs

Well IMHO I think Turntablism from Babu and Controllerism from Moldover are "styles" (safe mind jails) and I try to explain "Tooltablism" as a "label" not as a "dogma".

Why to choose an identity if I could "be" all "forms" like water...

Take your tools and play then call me "playtablist" (or player but not in the gang concept, please...)

my distain from the expired horse beating that is traktor vs serato is less then my distaste for that SSL forum, what a bunch of knobs....I hope this forum never turns that way, regardless of what software they think is better.

real djs spin with ipads anyways, we all know that....
We don't believe in the star system. We want the focus to be on the music. If we have to create an image, it must be an artificial image. That combination hides our physicality and also shows our view of the star system. It is not a compromise-daftpunk

LOL... we all feel so inadequate now dont we.

    On topic:

Something must have made Q want to make that video. It certainly wasnt any backpayment by NI.

Q has always been a great ambassador for scratch djing. Everyone knows that he gives a shit. Maybe he thought he just had to make his thoughts heard.

Reading the Serato forum, it is strange to read some of the comment were people say things like Traktor timecode does track better etc. Of course theres the usual haters but surely this can only help to better their product .

Does anyone know if SSL 2.0 will introduce 2khz timecode? I guess it wont as it will make all previous SSL version incompatible?

There are a few posts over at NI by people going "haha in your face Serato" but i dont see it like that , i really dont.

Im a Traktor fanboy 100% but i dont see this as Traktor taking the lead in some kinda marketing ploy. I just see it as redressing the balance finally after years of "some" Serato users looking down their noses at Traktor.

Yeah they can still say "its got sync" blah blah but the criticism of the audio quality is shot to pieces now.

I mean yeah Qbert is only one man. But... its Qbert for fucks sake.

If Michael Phelps gave you advise on swimming, your wouldnt question it would ya.

depends on how many bong hits he had before giving the advice

i agree we should be having civil discussions on the different dvs products and yes, it should stimulate products that better fit the changing demands of users.

maybe this video will stop the internet myth that i read again and again, that somehow serato is for spinning hiphop and traktor is for electronic.

both dvs packages are pretty exciting!
