Nitrous is big business for gray-market gangsters here in the states. They make a serious killing at summer festivals where kids go back again and again for balloons at $5-$10 each.

They swarm places so that at the first sign of trouble from the law or event staff, the tank vanishes only to have another one appear in another area of the festival grounds.

It's becoming quite a problem as a lot of kids are passing out and cracking their heads open on the ground or some other object. I talked to an EMT friend of mine who worked Bonnarroo this year and he was very tired of having to treat around 20 or so similar injuries, all found with balloons in theirs hands or nearby.

Anyway back on the topic at hand. Here is the cover of my favorite Tiesto record. I love to post it in all Tiesto threads because it needs so much more exposure than it gets.

I had a friend who had his cracker confiscated at Secret Garden Party. Security were not concerned about the presence of class C herbals in his bag, but took his canister instead. There be lots of money to be made selling nitrous (he wasn't selling any, for the record) and 'the man', he didn't like it.

Mallorca... laughing gas gets sold everywhere, in all the bars and clubs. And Ibiza and Cancoon, and a shit load of other places. I think its a rip off tho. 5 euros for a 30 second buzz!? Fuck off! Gimme the crack pipe any day!

yea-no kidding....how do people not know these rules?

anyway, i am aware that nitrous gets sold at many (most?) concerts, tailgates, festivals, etc. here in the states and elsewhere. The surprising thing about this original post was that it made it seem like the nitrous was sold legally by the venue. Otherwise, why would Tiesto demand that it not be sold during his set (i.e., make a demand that the venue not do something that it was already not doing)?
