Nice read... nice job
why don't you guys mix with TT's without pitch fader? o.o
players with pitch fader are way too easy. You got two hands and two feet. Use them to slow and speed up the record. o.o
i used to be very opinionated about this, but having seen what traktor can do, i.e. 4 channels all in sync and in key....what dj in their right mind would turn that down.
plus after 11 years or so i feel ive paid my dues to traditional beatmatching so ive no problem allowing a computer too look after that while so i can be more creative.
i have had the odd drunken dick try to slate me for it, but i use scratch pro, so can still fire in the timecode cd's and scratch away like a mother-lover, beat juggle etc... to shut them up

Funny you should say that... I was contemplating finding a couple of old portable cassette players, taking the front off and trying to beat match slowing down the motor with my finger on one of the players. Be quite interesting to see what we could actually beat match on lol

There's some fingerstoppin beatmatching in there, so it counts as a valid attempt at tjing, i guess
that is fucking incredible! I actually preferred the tape scratching to the decks![]()

having a pitch-knob or fader REALLY isn't different from pushing a sync-button.
I slow down my belt-drivens with weights attached to them.
My tape sample deck can only be pitched BY HAND!
EDIT: oh noes' tigerstyle's setup beat mine, now I look like a gimp.
