Price is nice, but I would spend 200 - 300 for a quality pair

so, i bought these, but i dont know how the hell to set them up.

I have a MBP 13 inch (1 dedicated in/out audio jack, 2 USB ports) and an audio 2. Do i need to get a new soundcard?

I mean I have a splitter so i can split one of the outs (master) to both, but i want to use these for use other than traktor (mainly ableton) as well as regular use.

    thoughts?

These speakers have a TRS Jack on the back so that is your standard 1/4" Jack just run a M-M 1/4" cable to one of the KRK's then you should be able to run an output from that monitor to the other with an RCA I believe. Might be wrong about this but here is the manual if you want more specs:

EDIT: I think I've got that wrong. If you have the subwoofer I think that's how they were routing things in the manual. Looks like a 1/4" to RCA Splitter is a must. I'll let you know if figure anything else out.

edit...quality pair that are not ferrari red!

Just picture my setup at home, 23" Mac monitor, mac mini, maschine, axiom 25 on a desk with some bright ass red speakers. I say Chales (Oh hell no in Spanglist) Black/Grey is what im looking for.

    Good Find tho.

This basically is the equivalent on spending $400 on a pair. The only difference is these ones are $89 each and red. The regular ones (which look much better IMO) are still listed at $199 each.

I'm very tossed tbh. I dabble with mixing, and dabble with production. But I have a decent logitech 5.1 surround with a subwoofer (cost me over $300 about 5 years ago).

So I'm not sure if these would be an upgrade, or a sidegrade. I personally don't have true use for monitors, nor full use for a big PA system. Haven't not done a ton of research on speakers, I'm at a loss as if I should jump on this or not.

I'd be getting these in preparation for use with either the S4 or CDJ's. Mostly for being my "main" speakers for my office. You think these would suffice nicely?

Do you think it would be worth it to sell those and pick up a pair of these?

Take into consideration is how much you work with panning. I do some sound design work which deal with vocals being panned in conversation etc. in projects. so stereo is a definite plus in my book.

Also if you want red speakers go for it. The price of the set of two will cost around 40 buck more then a single powered 8 G2. So it seems like a good buy/ upgrade considering the G1 you have is prolly getting pretty old.

Would it be worth buying two of these with this deal or buying these:
