2011 ,the sounds will get harder, deeper and techno will take over as the main fodder in the more select venues, underground stuff, germany is leading the way at the moment, for house heads that is.
Although in my town funky diva house still rules the roost for the 50th yr running.
Dubstep, electro ,not my cuppa, will becoming the increasingly mainstream fodder for kids and the younger generation..
We had the backroom while rusko ,fakeblood et al,had the mainroom at a club in hudds, while waiting to go on i took a quick listen to this dubstep, thing, all i could think of is having dump.. lool...

I forecast that 80s revival which has been going on for ages (basically, all through the 00s) is finally gonna come to an end. At least I'm hoping for the end of the early 80s/disco/post-punk/etc. stuff.

A revival of ca. 1994ish house would be cool. I'm thinking about these 90s-style synths and basslines.
I hope the 80s revival doesnt end, its keeps me busy! I spin New Wave/Post Punk/Indie and Electroclash ** yes electroclash ** not the bangers electro. Now that im making remixes of this music I hope I dont miss the wave.

Dubstep is not my cup of tea to be mixing it, but I will listen to it and enjoy hearing the production that goes into this genre.

What I predict is the come back of 90's style Hardhouse from L.A. & Chicago to make it back into the mainstream side and 90's clubs are going to be the new 80's clubs cuz those kids are starting to turn 21 and promoters are going to see a profit and are going to jump on it.

    So hang on!

I described it as a theoretical situation, like an example. Sorry to tickle you fanboyism

Yeah but it won't even do that... If dubstep was gonna cross over to the mainstream in a huge way it would have done so this year.

I'm sure the dubstep hedz are happy that it hadn't gone major mainstream.
Katy B and a few others are not what I consider to be major mainstream success.

Fact is the majority of top 40 loving people hate dubstep and that prevents it from going massive in the charts.

People have an almost unheard of hated of dubstep. More than any genre I play.

The good thing is that the good dubstep seems to come to the fore cus it's not covered in shite like most of the absolute garbage that gets played.

There's some amazing music being made by some dubstep artists.
There's also a lot if utter shite.

    Two words..."Porter Robinson".

The kid is only 19 and is already a headliner in NY clubs!! His remake "Less Go" is a favorite of mine. He just started 2nd half of 2010 to be known. Look him up if you don't know who he is!

I'm thinking it will be a big year for glitch hop.
With elements of dubstep, electro and hip hop all merging into one sound; it could get be huge in 2011.
