Why should house music get popularized? That's the whole point. Why would one create a 'bridge' between R&B and house music?
But this is the case with every music style. Once people start to listen to a kind of genre, it gets popular...
Avicii is an other case, because he sticks to his own style and I think he is innovating.

Oh wait, dude actually just post videos on youtube while nerding around with his expensive equipment. I know there's a lot of hate on popular house artists on these boards, but between Guetta and Deadmau5, Guetta definitely seems like a fake who's just in it for the fame.
