    8020B is great for nearfield work, if you don't need low bass response. If you want to monitor midfield, or need the bass, you'll need the sub, which will double the price for a 2-channel setup. The difference between 8020A and 8020B is minor - the newer model has a power switch separate from the volume control, which is handy, and supposedly more even dispersion characteristics.

    I use 8030A's myself on K&M tabletop stands, and couldn't be happier.
    Ill second the Genelec vote, have 5.1 with the 8020As and matching sub in the studio, albeit the room isn't great but I still hear so much more when we bring in tracks that we've mixed on other monitors, have the 6010As with the matching sub in video studios as well, I love the things.

    Genelecs & dynaudio are the best IMO . You want something with enough low end though so I would get at least a 6 inch woofer, if not a 7 or 8.
