Not sure what you mean by that. Like I said, it's right next to a turning off on the A55 just before Bangor, so it's easy access by car. It's just under an hours drive from Chester and a 5 minute drive from Bangor.
The main problem with the venue is that it's not in the city centre so nobody can just 'walk home' and they'll rely on designated drivers/taxis to get home unless we include transport in the ticket price and get buses to go to and from Bangor.

Definitely, if we promote it right, we could attract loads of students.

If I'm completely honest, none. The only 'good' nights in Bangor are the new Volume @ Embassy nights (the new nightclub).
There are a few very small jump up, dubstep & hardstyle nights but nothing that stands out as being a well organised & promoted night.
Obviously there's few student nights which just compromise of chart music (undergrad at the Octagon, Thursday nights in Varsity)

I think the most popular night in Hendre is Racuba which is 'hippy music' as I like to put it. There is nothing in terms of controllerism (a term I use loosely) though a few local djs are adopting Traktor recently.

If you want a 'club' venue, there is 'Academi' in Bangor which is the temporary student union/nightclub whilst the new 'Pontio' building is being built (A multi-million pound complex with a theatre, nightclub etc) though I am not sure how easy it is to organise a night there, and it would definitely cost a lot more than Hendre.

I asked my mate who attends Bangor Uni when the terms are, he said their Easter holidays are from the 26th March to the 16th April, but I'm not sure when the next term ends as he hasn't got back to me.

What im asking is: are the nights that are put on at hendre hall mainly filled by people from bangor? I cant see many people traveling an hour to go to hendre with the cost of a taxi, as well as the amount of big nights on in manchester at the moment (which is less than an hour from chester) unless there is a name dj playing. How much is a taxi from hendre hall to bangor roughly?

They used to allow camping, they where going to for a Good Robot night but the camping got pulled last minute. Im thinking a DJTT mini UK festival if they allowed camping again, theres also the workhouse which is a similar venue.

I'm not sure (I don't go out much, believe it or not). I know people from Anglesey and Caernarfon way do attend nights all around Bangor, though I rarely hear of people coming over from Chester way. Most people would be Students, 6th formers/people in college and the older local 'ravers'.
If we did do a night at Hendre, we wouldn't be aiming to attract people to come over from Chester anyway, though I do understand that's where a few of you are located.
It's a five minute drive from Hendre to Bangor, so after 12 on a Saturday would probably set you back around £20. (I know a few taxi drivers and could probably do some sort of deal like £4/5 each to Bangor city centre at the end of the night - though my idea of hiring a bus would probably be more efficient)

Yeah I heard about that, in the summer that's definitely something that could happen, although it's not a very 'central' venue.

Another thing to consider is that during uni term time there are around 10,000 students living in Bangor (according to wiki)

I fit the bill in terms of music style. Can't help on venues, but I can help to get big names in. One of my best mates runs RAMP Recordings/Fourth Wave/PTN labels. I also live in Manchester.

I dont mean to piss on anyone chips, but I don't think we could attract anywhere near 100 people top an out of town venue where they would have to get a £20 taxi back, unless you had a named dj. Unless you have a big following round your area?
