If i saw that correctly that was a technics, so to be honest it probably still works.

You guys are always taken aback when a "DJ" has a video where they are faking. This is the pop/top40 world, faking it is half the game. Look at all of the pop stars that lipsync. Is twisting a knob on a mixer that's not plugged in, really that much different? We are talking about a world where image comes first, then celebrity status, then music. No need to risk a trainwreck infront of people that paid $100+ a ticket, when they don't even know what you are doing anyways. Not justifying it, just pointing out the reality.
But if your that good you should be able to do 100% 100% of the time if not get back to your bedroom. Or back to your studio and stick to producing.
I think I'd how most djs look at it since we all strive to make even our practice routines 100% or atleast most I know feel that way.

This fakery or not always wondered about that
Yeah i can understand using some premade edits to give yourself breathing time, id definitely do that if i was playing to an arena, but miming a whole routine? All the morals aside i wouldnt do it because id be bored as fuck...
Looking at it a different way though, some people will always take the easiest option no matter what theyre doing, i can see someone like Guetta totally losing the ability to give a fuck (if he ever gave one) about what other djs and real edm fans think.
Pitbull is in the vid, you really can't expect much more from it.
I agree with the bit about show-biz/lip-synch/etc. I REALLY don't think Josie and the Pussycats exists either :^>!
