The question is, you're at a gig and your headphones break would you use purple Justin bieber headphones if they were all that was available..?

haha. Like other people have hinted at, that's quite a claim. Not saying its not true, may well be, but its quite a claim to make without knowing who your talking to or who else is on the thread.

I for example, have DJ'ed at a few outdoor festivals (as a no name warm-up obviously, not as a headliner or anything) to tens of thousands of people, both through a proper sound system and also in a headphone party style. Not trying in anyway to get into a pissing contest, just saying its a bold claim to make just off the cuff

Every time you sign off with a 'k' I think it's an 'x' as in a kiss

As for Beats, they have their place and do a job. But every time I see someone with a pair I can't help but think they've been sucked in and don't actually know that much about music. Which obviously could be wrong but that's the impression..

I've owned six original Beats By Dre Studio's. All broke near the hinges due to cheap plastic. Sound was enjoyable and noise canceling was pretty nice while commuting but they got nothing on the Pioneer HDJ2000.
    Soundwise, that is.
Say what you want, but the Studio is a damn comfy headphone.

..thinking about them makes me want to buy a pair again, just for commuting. IEM's are getting annoying with that stupid seal and vacuum feel in my ears..

I don't doubt you tour, but you wouldn't have mentioned it if you didn't want to get people curious and ask and boost your ego. Especially since you went so far as to make a note in your profile page 2 minutes after you posted that.

Agreed, but I'm inclined to believe him from what I've read in a lot of his posts. Would be nice to know who he is though since he does claim to tour the world gigging every weekend, and to have played in ministry of sound among others.

EDIT: I really hope you're not this guy:

I think to make a statement about a dj's skill or knowledge based on their gear is bull$hit.. i got my Dre studios as a gift, and like i said before yeah they are bulky, and yeah the fact they use batteries suck, and yeah they can get uncomfy, but as i like bass to mix with and being more of a turntablist than a traditional dj, i dont use em too much anyway
